You know some of your people have fucked up real bad when this conversation appears as part of the dialogue in a DISNEY cartoon:

BOY
Wha are you up to?

GIRL
I need to get money

BOY
What for?

GIRL
Someone has been sending me emails for investments in Nigeria. I need to get back to them

BOY
Uhh, I wouldn't do that if I were you....

So here's a big thank you to all you mother fuckers who ran this country to the ground and encouraged corruption and crime in all its forms. Nigeria is now a punchline for Disney's prepuberscent kids !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

my sista, I just returned from jamaica, and whenever my green passport was seen, you for see the shaking that it created. People checking and rechecking my documents, using technology to ensure that my papers were right. Thank God they didn't embarrass me, or should I say thank God my skin tough past Nigerian leather.

God ave mercy, but N.I.M.M.O. has started a new series that should be interesting.

How nah?

This is so sad…
-I get that as an adult I have to go head to head with this and deal with the stereotype of being Nigerian… I have the wit and intelligence to work against such prejudice
-that kids have to accept this kinda crap being hurled at them in the playground bcos Disney says so…is just plain wrong!

This is bad… pure irresponsibility on Disney’s part!

Shubby, why blame Disney? We think of Russia and think cold, Vodka, Lenin, Putin. For good or ill Nigeria's national image is oil, mismanagement, avarice and fraud.

We know that is not who we are and that those people do not represent the majority of us. Moslems are constantly barraged by the image of fundamentalists who are but a small fringe and have to fight that image daily.

Naapali is right
Its a sad fact but some Nigerians hve tanished the whole of the country's reputation. One just has to remind themselves that coming froma certain country does not make you that entire country. You only come from Nigeria you are not Nigeria.

can I just say thank you... that was effing funny...granted it kinda hurts that we were made the butt of the joke... but it says we have arrived you know. We are now like the Chinese and their counterfeits...
which is not necessarily a good thing, but hey as they say "there is no such thing as bad press" :D

I understand your pain Sisi mi.

But like Naaps and the others have said, this s**t does not define who we are.

Oh, some Nigerians effed up all right but then does that color all of us? Not unless we allow it. And we won't.

Besides, like ONB said ROTFLMAO!!!!

Let's show we also have a sense of humor!

It no go better fo the grandma of disney. ahn ahn. Although its really funny, i still think that perpetuating stereotypes is not something disney should engage in, i expect such from the likes of chris rock and other comedians not fucking disney channel. I think the people falling for this nonsence are all idiots and I still dont understand how the mighty American financial surveillance system cannot catch these idiots. I am just irritated at the whole thing. I dont think its the Nigerian government's responsibility to sanction a crime not even committed in their jurisdiction... I need to stop before I write a whole book on this.. XOXO

i guess a sense of humor will help to soothe the vex that this can cause in ones mind.
